Meet Our Team

Learn Who We Are

  • Dr.
    Kathleen M. Frost

    Dr. Frost received her DDS degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. She continued her post-graduate studies and completed Stony Brook’s Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics. In 1994 she began private practice in Islip, New York. In 2009 Dr. Frost joined Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine as part time faculty (Clinical Assistant Professor). In 2016, she assumed the role of Director of Predoctoral Periodontics. She received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics in 2012 and 2017. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Suffolk County Dental Society. In addition to private practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.

  • Kristen Brocavich D.D.S. M.S.

    Dr. Brocavich received her BS in toxicology with a minor in chemistry at St. John’s University. She then attended Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors. She continued her education in Stony Brook’s Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics. In addition to being a periodontal resident, Dr. Brocavich earned a Master’s in Oral Biology and Pathology concurrently with her certificate in Periodontics and Implantology. Dr. Brocavich awards include the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award, Dr. Richard J. Oringer Memorial Award, Eric and Virginia Holst Memorial Award and Presidential Gold Medal for St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Brocavich enjoys running, spending time with family and cooking.

  • Jody Pojero

    Jody is a Dental Hygienist with 30 years of Periodontal experience. She has worked with Dr. Frost for 20 years to meet the oral health needs of patients. She provides high quality diagnostic (digital radiographs), preventive, and therapeutic care. Her services include thorough periodontal maintenance, patient education and oral hygiene techniques. Jody adjusts her care to meet the individual needs of each patient, with a goal of providing comfortable treatment in a relaxed atmosphere. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and traveling to see family and friends.
